About
Faculty at Parsons, The New School, Fashion Studies, since 1997, working on a textbook "Color in Fashion", and completing my dissertation on "Poetics of Black" at European Graduate School. My class Fashion History: Couture, focuses on the philosophy of contemporary fashion, fashion media, and the impact of cultural trends has on fashion today. Instead of a heavily weighted backward glance on fashion or a hemline history students learn how to do a critical analysis on fashion and participate in creating contemporary fashion in marketing and design.
